TENCEL - TRUE CARBON ZERO

TENCEL - TRUE CARBON ZERO

TENCEL is a type of lyocell and modal, but the process of making is much environmental-friendly. It requires less energy, water and less chemical treatment. Because fabric is created from natural wood it is biodegradable, compared to synthetic fabric such as polyester and nylon. Combining the sustainable sourcing of wood, with the eco-friendly transformation process, it is a great alternative material to the fashion industry.

TENCEL fibers are third party certified as carbon neutral by means of carbon emission reduction and respective compensation measures, supporting actions against global warming in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Carbon-zero TENCEL lyocell and modal fibers have been developed according to three environmental pillars:

- Lower carbon emission levels from production to reduce carbon foot print.

- Increased use of renewable energy sources at Lenzing production sites, an

- Support of verified global carbon reduction projects to compensate for fiber-related emissions that are not yet avoidable.
